We Hit And Run consists of the two most compatible voices in radio- Kevin Scampoli and Anthony Saunders (a felon and a town drunk, respectively). A new show is broadcast LIVE every Wednesday! Don't forget to subscribe using the left side-bar!
We Hit & Run (working
title The Radio Show) began recording in July of 2007- three years after
its show introduction was created. Kevin Scampoli began his radio production
experimentation in 2004, with only the title 'Real Kid Radio' and little more
than Jim Scampoli (Jim & Them) as his audience.
Real Kid Radio is a name that stems from Real Kid Productions,
Jim's creation and moniker for his short films and sketches. A 'Real Kid'
is a retard, plain and simple. Well, a retard in high school- attempting to be
a... Real Kid.
Jim & Them was the first show to begin the journey, recording in April
of 2007. Kevin debuted on Episode 3 of Jim & Them, using it as a
ventilation tool for his recent legal issues and jail weekend.
The original line-up of We Hit & Run was Kevin Scampoli and Sid Avitia.
Kevin picked Sid because he felt they had a great chemistry, though Sid's lack
of commitment and inability to improve his on-air presence led to a change. They
kicked off We Hit & Run with a Century Club (hyped as 'the first time
in radio history'). The Century Club was a preview of Kevin's fascination with
alcohol-fueled radio, as it would be followed in the coming months by three more
events: The Drink-Off/Pose-Off, Shots Til Ya Drop, and the
Apple-Mantini Challenge - each event broadcast would feature other members of
Real Kid Radio.
Anthony Saunders made his debut as a challenger for Sid in the Shots Til
Ya Drop event, and took hold of the second mic almost immediately after.
Anthony was originally a member of CB Radio, the latest addition in the
Real Kid Radio lineup.
Having aligned himself with Anthony Saunders, Kevin Scampoli feels that he
has formed the definitive line up of We Hit & Run, dubbing the duo "The
two most compatible voices in radio", and "The Best Podcast Alive".
